IS THE BEST!!! Seriously. If you need a part for your car, and it exists on Summit Racing, buy it from them. Not only are they very helpful when you call them making sure parts will fit and will work, but they also ship them out to you ridiculously fast. I ordered my new intake, carb, etc last night at 9, and by 9:30 I had a confirmation that the parts had shipped out. On the check out form, it said the parts would be here Oct 1. Nope, checked the tracking number today, and they'll be here tomorrow. They also shipped me my 160 pound package of rims to me in 2 days. I mean, I'm close to Nevada, where their warehouse is, but goddamn that's fast shipping. Plus, they have a pretty much no questions asked return policy. Sweet.

I've always had good luck with Summit and Jeg's. Most of the time their prices are close, but sometimes one of them will have the same part for much cheaper.

Seriously, I just can't wrap my head around all the car stuff you guys have in America. I've yet to even see a real speedshop here in Brazil, and, to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure they actually exist. Only those sloppy places that install audio systems, aftermarket alarms and plastic bodykits.
I don't care if I have to sell one of my kidneys, if I ever get a chance to go to the US, I'm definitely buying a muscle car and a bunch of go fast parts. From motherfucking Summit.

You can do what Roadkill did and buy a car, and perform a complete engine swap in the parking lot of Summit's warehouse in Nevada.

Northeast Ohio is a place full of great people.
Source: born and raised there. Although I didn't stay.
See also: McMaster Carr.

Yea McMaster is great too. I live in SoCal and work in a machine shop, and having material show up the next day is awesome.

If McMaster Carr doesn't have it, you don't need it.

I'd highly recommend Rockauto for some of those odd/uncommon parts. You can also have good access to electrical connectors if you're building a new engine/ecu harness.

Yup, rock auto is a good place to check on parts availability and prices. I always use them as a reference guide when I need to get parts, sometimes they are way cheaper than other places.

Haven't browsed Rock Auto too much, but I get the idea it's better for late model cars than it is for old American muscle (like my 74 Chevy truck).

That's awesome... I'd totally be up for that if I had the means. Wouldn't be the first time I did something to a car in a parking lot, to be honest, though I've never done anything as extensive as an engine swap.
But yeah, whenever I have to do something on my car, I take it to the college parking lot, which is much more spacious than the crammed parking lot I'm renting. One of the lots, next to the college hospital, is not only indoors and never fills up, but it's also the cheapest one. I can leave my car there for only two bucks a day... That's where I swapped my radiator after that crash a month ago, and that's also where I rewired the passenger door lock when the fuse blew and the power locks went nuts.

I live about 40 minutes from Summit, in case anyone needs anything they can't ship affordably.
